you had white hair going darker again? Thatīs the only positive thing I read here. Youīre saying youīve seen hair turning white and then turning dark again?! I hope youīre right. I was thinking about pubic hair, armpithair, chesthair and all the hair that you can shave off. If we canīt save that hair itīs not as big deal as the eyebrows!!! I can shave off the rest really.. Thatīs why I ask you Tom. Do you have you melaninproduction workin well there?! My eyebwrows are still dark but I see some losing color in the far out left and right. I also have a completely different structure on my brows they are much thinner that is actually not a problem for me since I had just like John extremely thick ones before. However the eyebrow hair is the hair I donīt wanna see go white.then we can really talk about prematuring ending up like an old guy in our thirties. As I said my eyebrows are still dark but thinner and yes some in the outer area losing color but still not looking strange to other people I think. What about you Tom are your eyebwrows still looking normal? Sometimes I can see eyebrows just hanging dingeling like they are about to fall off any second and I can just touch them and they fall off.The end of these have a lack of melanin. But I have to say that this was much more happening in the early months and not so often anymore. In an our Iīm heading downtown to see my doc and hear what my bloodtests showed. Bye

did the bloodwork..Iīm fine. My doc looked at my balls and said, very strange that hair usually have the same color all the way through life. I must agree with you Tom itīs like the genes are hurt and now our hair mature faster than the rest of the body making us look older than we should be really

its aso said rogaine does not work on everyone and also depends on the type of hair loss

Is it plausible that Topical minoxidil affects pituitary

Is minox really local. I went from a norwood 3 to having the perfectly square hairline of my youth, but I had a reaction mimicking symptoms of pseudoacromegaly so I stopped. So I'm wondering if along with it's vasodilating properties minox also works systemically causing the pituitary to send signals to the liver to push out more gh as in many acromegaly cases.

If so I think perhaps those of you who have seen lasting effects from just a couple of doses may help the entire thinning community if we could learn what's happening chemically on your receptors. Maybe start different avenues of research. Anyone have any thoughts.

I've had a full head of hair all my life. I saw a little thinning on my crown so I started using Rogaine. I'm in very good physical condition by running 4-5 miles a day six days a week. I used Rogaine Foam and developed an itchy scalp, sever flakiness, blisters and eventually sudden extreme hair loss. Living in NY I was able to see top Dr's including a scalp specialist (at $850 a visit) plus every kind of exotic blood test. Result is I lost 99% of my hair on my head, eye lashes, eye brows and lost hair all over my entire body including pubic hair. My Dr's concur it's because of a severe allergic reaction which caused alopecia. I have contacted McNiel Labs and they have been of no help other than giving me a case number. I CAUTION ANYONE WHO IS ABOUT TO TRY THIS PRODUCT!!! I have resorted to shaving my head - Dr's say it may take years for my hair to grow back - if at all.

I WANTED TO UPDATE YOU GUYS ON MY CONDITION.

If you know me, you know that my experience with Rogaine was awful. I'm a guy with thick eyebrows. I applied Rogaine to my eyebrow area because I over-plucked my eyebrows. A single treatment with Rogaine caused me to experience severe dizziness and heart palpitations. I quickly washed off the Rogaine and didn't use it again. Over the next few days, the hair from my eyebrows and the rest of my body began shedding like crazy. If I ran my hand over my arms or legs or scalp, tons of hair came off. It was a very scary experience. After a few weeks, some hairs began growing back, but those hairs grew in crazy directions, and soon fell out again. Rogaine completely screwed up my body's natural hair cycle. So much hair was falling out, I was worried I was going to lose my eyebrows or go bald. I am posting here today to tell you guys that it took 1 YEAR AND 3 MONTHS for me to fully recover. After 1 year and 3 months, I finally stopped shedding and my hair returned to its original condition. I can't believe it took me that long to recover from my terrible reaction to Rogaine. Now I'm just glad to be back to normal. I hope the rest of you are doing well, and I urge everyone to stay away from Rogaine. People who are suffering from genetic baldness should go to their doctor and get a prescription for Propecia.
