Hi Frustrated !!!
I feel your pain...some days are more frustrating than others... I believe something will work one of these days....we have to hang in there and not let it get us down. Things could be worse, and we aren't in physical pain so we should count our blessings.
Have a good weekend.

Hi,
yes it works
1.YOU MUST STRONGLY BELIEVE YOU CAN BEAT AA
2. BE PATIENCE, TAKE A TIME 2-3 YEARS AT LEAST(for severe cases)
3. Use everyday visualiztion your aa patches regrow, you can use mantra for example" My hairs coming back....."or anyone you imagine
4. Twice a day 10 minutes scalp exercises (Tom hagerty)( plus 1x day head invertion)
5. Use a lot of spring sun, a lot of fruits and vegetables
6.Use CALOSOL 4H at least twice a day( or ancientway areata lotion)
7. NEVER GIVE UP.
I STARTED last july, and step by step make the progress. Very, very slooow, but it is and i am happy. no regrowth on patches above the ears, but it is some regrowth on my back. I have still long way to go. I will post my progress.
AA is a challenge...
Nice day to all
i.

STAY POSITIVE

I just want to mention that things can improve depending on the case involved. Ive had a few 1-2" patches in the past plus I had lost an eyebrow and some beard hair as well. That was over 2 years ago. The hair returned on these areas thankfully. I am on the last stage of improving a patch on the top which is filling in nicely, with a mix of long white hairs and dark. I go for probably 2 more injection visits to my dermalotogist, usually every 6 weeks or so. I get Kenalog 10 50mg/5mgTriacamcinolone . Usually 8 or so injections /spot. It did take a few weeks to see the hair roots develop below the surface and then one by one they came. It does take a quite a few visits. Hope your health care system helps out like here in Canada. I guess everybody has had successses and failures as we know. A nuisance just the same. Good luck.

Partial beard loss

Just a quick mention that my beard growth is "back to normal" for over 1 1/2 years! Must be my genes!
I had lost beard growth under my chin and neck area, plus a patch on side of mouth. Never took any treatment for this area prior either.

Hi,
I have aa for almost 7 yrs now. Some of the patches are at the back of my head, which are covered by hair, some are quite apparent and cannot be or partially covered by hair. As I am Asian, for those apparent patches, I cover them with black eyeshadow....and I notice that the regrowth of the patches using eyeshadow is much more faster than the one uncovered. I really dont know why or how, but it less frustrates me...and also the eyeshadow really hides my patches well so nobody knows or notice I have aa except my mum and husband. Worth a try!

Black eyeshadow, Surj? Are you sure that works? I'm Asian, also. Asians often have dark black hair, but I don't think I can put eye shawdows on my bald spoot. Is it worth a shot? I could use my mom's--hope she doesn't mind. My bald spots are covered by my hair also--most of it. But whenever the wind blows, I grow nervous. That's why I always wear caps and all. It's kind of weird though...... That I

Ssy, I dont know why but the eyeshadow works for me. It really surprise me as well. So I keep using it to cover my patches for around 5 yrs now (I had AA for 7 yrs) and it feels so good not to worry about people or the wind "discover" my patches.

hi, I´m caucasian, but I too use black eye shadow to cover spots and it really works!! Just have to make sure it´s good quality eye shadow, I´ve tried with cheap brands, and they don´t cover the same.

we better hang in there
