Receding hairline at 17... please help!

My name is David, I just turned 17 last month, and I've started to noticed that I'm getting a receding hairline at the sides on the top of my head. I have really thck hair and premature baldness doesn't run on either side of my family. I suspect that it might be due to a lack of prtein or some other dietary deficiency. At the moment it really isn't very noticable, but you can clearly see it when I pull my hair back a little. What can I do to get my hair back or prevent any more hair to fall out? It's really bugging me and I don't want to be bald before I go to college. Crying or Very sad

me too

mine started a few years ago, im 17 in 3 months and my receding hairline is already pretty bad, but only one my right side. i have it on my left, but the right is far worse. this is so embarassing, i wear a hat. Im not a bad looking guy either, good looking actually, but i have to wear a hat because of my hairline. im trying to get surgery because i dont feel like pills will work(propecia or rogaine)...
its gnna be like 3,000 bucks though! but i want a teenage hairline, then ill be more confident in front of girls and taking my hat off.

yea...me too

I only just turned 16 and my hairline is pretty badly receding, but on my right side more also. I hear wearing hats makes it worse so i usually just try to pull my other hair down over it. It seems to get worse every day. Let me know if youve all found any ways to slow it. Its in my genetics so i guess theres really nothing i can do but its chill to find guys with the same shit going on.

Hmm...

Well im 16 about to turn 17, and i've noticed I have a widows peak hairline. It's not thinning, and im not balding. But I use to slick my hair back, and had it that way for about two years. And when I shaved my head a few months ago..It didn't look as I wanted it. I know im not balding and my hair isn't thinning because my barber's and friends say I have enough hair for three people. This because it's reealllly thick. I want to do something about this so my hairline is straight. It goes back a little on the sides away from the middle - people call is a widows peak. I've asked relatives about it but there kind of close minded and say im too young to young for hairloss.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi, i'm 24 now and started balding when i was around your ages. My hairline seems to have stabalised now but i do have some advice for you young guys thinking about trying products to help in hairloss.
a) most of these products are not worth the hassle, and do actually increase hairloss before starting to regain hair.
b) If these products do start to regrow hair, it will regrow at an incredibly slow rate, and you will never achieve the same result as before you started taking the product.
c) Any kind of surgery should not be considered at such a young age, as you WILL regret it later on in life. If you are considering surgery, please wait untill you are older and have considerable hairloss.
d) If you start to take these products, you CAN'T stop taking them!, you have to continue taking these products for the prescribed length atleast.

I am currently taking Procerin, (1 yr, not advisable), Revivogen (6 months), and have been using the hairmax lasercomb (especially good for receeding hairlines) now for about a month with significant results.

If you are as young as you are, i suggest that you work on your diet first, and then after a year consider alternatives.

what i did

[II Too have thick hair and began balding slowly at age 17. Now, my hair is growing back without the use of rogaine or propecia.

You probably are losing your hair. I too, was in denial until last year when I realized I simply did not look like myself. At first I told myself my hair is just adjusting ot adult hair. But no, you are losing your hair and you need to come to terms with it. Now, the next step. Find a solution that works for you. Do lots of research

This is what worked for me. I''m almost twenty now and am about 7 months from a perfect hairline.

I began doing scalp exercises that i found at www.hairloss-reversible.com

I began takling lysine, saw palmetto, MSM, and I even tried some scam internet product named Procerin(this did not grow my hair back as I only started growing it once I began my scalp exercises and...

I stopped shampooing, conditoning, and using product in my hair. I did this for five months because I read that the chemcials in these products can acceleerate baldnes. Check out www.getitback.us for more info.

What im doing now,- I'm using blinc shampoo and conditioner without dangerous chemicals. www.blincinc.com My hair loss has not progressed. I scalp exercise for 20 mins a day. i take MSM, saw palmetto, lsyine, and im finishign off my procerin crap.

Do your reserach and keep telling yourself I am growing my hair back. I am proof that this is possible. Good luck

Look people, I'm a 24 year old asian with thick hair. And I'm having a receding hairline. I look like Jack Nickolson. I'm just gonna go with it. Go bald with dignity.

sorry you guys have it so rough

I have AA (since I was 16), but my hairloss is on and off, sometimes all the way back (I am female). I never realized how many of you guys have to suffer with AGA at that same young age. By the way, I never think that much of any guys hair just in case you wondering (and that was before I had AA too). I mean, I like a handsome face and a nice personality. Hair to me was always incidental. I see lots of balding guys whom I consider good-looking.

Anyway, hope you get your hair back the way you want it Smile
