Pohl-Pinkus and Beau's lines...WHY?

Hi,
I have lost 90% of my hair in a very diffuse pattern. My daughter has lost about 50% (probably more) of her hair too. We were living in toxic mold for a year and a half and left 8 months ago. Both of us started losing our hair at around the same time but we left 8 months ago and it still has not stopped! One doctor diagnosed me with diffuse alopecia areata but a biopsy showed telogen effluvium (no T lymphocyte cells or whatever). HOWEVER, 90% of my hair is GONE and it is still coming out! The crazy hair shaft defects my doctor has found in my hair that made him think I had diffuse alopecia areata was exclamation point looking roots in a hair here and there...dramatic..not slight...and pohl-pinkus lines in many of the hairs AND Beau's lines (often the two go together). Plus there is keratin malformations in my hair...strange looking Keratin deposits that don't belong making hair shaft rough in some parts of strand but smooth and normal in others. This is insane! I read at this site that Diffuse Alopecia Areata is different from Telogen Effluvium in that all your hair does not come out and it is self correcting. Well, my biopsy, which was reviewed by an entire team, was clearly telogen effluvium and even sent a picture of what follicles looked like under microscope. So if all my hair is nearly gone and still falling out, could toxins have caused slow ANAGEN effluvium? Could biopsy be wrong? How would anagen effluvium and telogen effluvium look differently under a microscope? I am so frustrated and confused and scared! I have seen the best derms in my city (very, very large city...over a million people) and they both are mystified! They both told me to go see Dr. Vera Price but DO see a real problem they cannot solve. And DO see Pohl-Pinkus and Beau's lines.

Would Kevin (I am HOPING) or ANYONE out there know what the heck can be going on? My daughter is only 10 and afraid she is going to look like me! I tell her everything will be ok and she will not get as bad as me but she IS getting as bad as me! She is well on her way and I lie to her to make her feel better. If anyone can give me answers and help us that would be so amazing.
