Has anyone actually ever completely cured APKoH?

Acquired progressive kinking of the hair seems to be an incurable condition. Everyone I have ever talked to on the internet with the condition has not been able to cure it. People have taken 1 mg dutasteride for 18 months, propecia for several years, saw palmetto, etc etc, but the final results are always similar: There is a definite noticeable improvement in hair texture, but it is never complete as there will be regions that will continue to have kinky hairs.

DHT is responsible for kinked hairs. The simple approach would to eliminate DHT through natural means. This would include Saw Palmetto, Pygeum and Zinc Picolinate. I cannot stress enough how important it is to take Standardized Extract when taking Saw Palmetto and Pygeum. To keep the hair and scalp in good health you would need to be on both herbs for a lifetime. But in small doses daily. A little goes a long way. Dutasteride and Propecia do have side effects on the liver and kidneys for long term use that is something most people should consider.
