Dr. Blackburn's info
Hi,
Dr. Blackburn is located in the St. Paul Professional Building. His number is 214-630-5256. He is a very good doctor, I've been going to him for years. If you have uneven, acne prone skin.. he has a medicine that he created called Blackburn's Mixture, that stuff is amazing!

If anyone lives in the Dallas area, Dr. Raymond C. Blackburn is the best dermatologists I have ran into in my 25 yrs. He is one of the best in dealing with colored skin. Hope the term doesn't offend anyone. (Cause I am). There are not alot of determatologist who specialize in black skin and he does. He makes his own medicines and he works with you, listens to you, cares about you.

Dr. Raymond Blackburn
I am an African-American woman with systemic lupus . For the longest I did not know what was wrong with my skin because of the severe darkening. I also found out that I have diabetes as well as hypothyroidism. Both diseases also affect the skin. Dr. Blackburn has given me back some of my dignity and self-esteem by lightening my face which has been the worst problem area. I had been to several Caucasian physicians and dermatologists but none were able to deal with the problem. I can now go out in public without makeup and not feel embarrassed and extremely self-conscious.

I went to see Dr. Pearl E. Grimes (Dermatologist) in Los Angeles. Considered one of the best according to mdnationwide.org. Anyway, they are right he's awesome. Pigment Disorders is his high "expertise", however he pretty much does it all. For such a busy doc I was surprised how well he explained things. I highly recomend him.
Cheers

Dr. Blackburn is nice. The staff if courteous, but that is all. The BBM he prescribed for my severe hyperpigmentation seems to be what he prescribes for everyone. Then an assistant is his office, Ola, prescribed Ultravate and RetinA on top of that. My FINGERS nearly turned white (I am honey brown) and I began breakthrough bleeding and spotting. All this and my face has shown no noticeable improvment. In fact, I think it has gotten worse. When I faxed them about the bleeding, I didn't even get a return phone call. I don't recommend them at all if you have something other than a textbook problem.

Dr. Blackburn
I called Dr. Blackburns office to make an appt. and they were very rude. The person I spoke to was Danielle. She needs an attitude check. I don't think I would recommend an office that does business like that. They need to get some educated people that can communicate with patients in a decent manner.

Made appointment to see Dr. Blackburn after a referral from a co-worker. Her exact words to me were I must warn you his receptionist has a bad attitude. I shrugged that off because I can deal with anyone, even people with less than positive attitudes
To make a long story short I showed up the day of my appointment and was escorted into a room by an assistant. Standard procedure ...until the assistant starts to examine me. When I ask about the doctor the assistant tells me he's unavailable. She goes on to inform me that Dr. Blackburn does not have enough time to see ALL his paitents and refuses to inquire if it would be possible for me to see Dr. Blackburn. This person was NOT a doctor, I don't even believe she's a nurse. I opt to leave the office and she gives me a pre-written list of "prescriptions" that only includes "Blackburn Mixture" and the * that carry it. Needless to say I suspect they give each patient the same tired piece of paper.
I immediately called my insurance to inform them that I did NOT see the doctor and this claim should not be honored by the office. A month later I get a letter from my insurance carrier saying they submitted medical records including a transcription of my conversation with Dr. Blackburn. I went through heaven and hades to get this cleared up only to have the office offer me a free visit in lew of admitting insurance fraud...I DON'T THINK SO. If you make an appointment please make for darn sure that you will actually be able to see the doctor and that he will actually examine you and not just prescribe you his generic homemade medications.

To the unhappy customers of Dr. Blackburn, I know exactly how you feel. All the receptionist are rude as hell, and ghetto. Every time you call they say " Dr. Blackburn's office can you hold please." Their gossiping instead of actually doing their jobs. He should have thought about hiring professional receptionist. My first time visiting the Blackburn office, I also was examined by someone who knew nothing about skin at all. She could not even answer my questions. I waited in the waiting room for about ten minutes, finally Dr. Blackburn examined my skin. All he did was rub my face and prescribe, "THE BLACKBURN MIXTURE." His little homemade ass medicine is whack then a bitch. It peels your skin, and makes your skin dry as hell and red. If you were to stop using "THE BLACKBURN MIXTURE," your before picture will still be your before picture. I would not recommend that bullshit to nobody. I am stuck using it because I look way better then I did before. If you are like me and you want clear skin and a even skin tone. DON'T USE THIS SHIT. Do some research on the internet about dermatologist and their prescriptions. Its worth the wait!!!!!! [B]
