topical clobetasol with 100mg zinc and 20 mg biotin

My daughter did not have any improvement in her condition with topical clobetasol so the dermatologist added aldara. She was on this at first every day but her scalp got sore and we decreased to every other day with no results and continued soreness- so after about 2 mos of treatment we took a break for about a week... now she has a small new spot near her largest spot and we restarted the clobetasol. I read on another site that the effectiveness is increased if you take 100 mg of zinc and 20mg of biotin daily. Any one else ever tried this or heard of this?

Very Happy Emily has been taking 50 mg of zinc and 800 mcg of biotin a day for about 2 and we have been putting the clobetasol on her spots daily. Finally we are starting to see some very light hairs coming in on the biggest spot.... the dose of vitamins is what we could find at the store- It is less than recommended but I think that it must be helping. Has anyone else had any luck with adding these supplements?

Zinc is the most highly recommended supplement for areata.there have even been cases of ppl regrowing hair on zinc alone.so yes, it could be helping.by the way zinc and biotin are part of my regimin.there others that can help too.
thats great news.gl
